USSRA Race Rules Update

* 80% Pay back except in Juniors, Veterans, Stock A,B,C,D,E, Amateur, and Vintage classes.
   Plaques will be awarded in these classes at the year end banquet to the class points champions.
 
* No carbide runners.
Required safety items:
  • Full face helmet
  • Saf - Jac
  • Long Pants
  • Protective eye wear
  • Tether switch and one other means of shut down
* All ISR rules apply to all classes.
* Specialty class rule:
  • Big Mans classes
  • 225 lbs without gear
  • 2 classes, 0 - 100 cc and 101 - 1500 cc
  • No turbo or nitrous in 0 - 1000 cc
  • Turbos or nitrous in 1001 - 1500 cc
ISR rules clarification as per U.S.S.R.A.
* Supension and steering:
  • Mountain class sleds must have free standing downward travel.
  • Mountain Stock and Improved Stock must have full OEM for the model, freestanding downward travel.
  • Mountain Mod classes must have 6 inches freestanding downward travel.
  • All classes a minimum of 2.0 inches of compression suspension travel must remain with the driver seated on the machine.
* No track cutting allowed - except for 1/4 inch cooler clearance "only"
* If fuel is used for ballast weight at all, a full tank will be required.
*Sleds must have working tether and sled kill system. This means you have two means of shutting down sled.

Rider Weight Rules
  • Stock class riders weight must be 180 lbs. or ballast must be added. *
  • Improved stock riders weight must be 180 lbs. or ballast must be added. *
  • Mod class has no rider weight, sled weight rules apply..
  • Improved classes - light weight parts can be used. Sled must meet manufacture published weight.
  • Mod classes - ISR combined weight required.
Weight will be available on race day. It is the racers responsibility to have sled at the proper weight. Their will be random weight checks throughout the race day.
* If weight is made by using fuel as ballast, you must use a full tank, no partial tanks.

Clutch Cover Rules
Stock classes must have stock cover with no modifications.
  • Mountain Improved Stock classes - stock cover will be allowed on stock cylindered engines, with stock stroke. After market cylinders and engines with altered stroke and all engines over 800 cc must have half cover from bolt to bolt coverage made from ISR approved materials and belting or ISR approved materials from half to bulk head making a mountain sled full enclosure.
  • Qualified Mountain Inproved sleds that run in the Mountain MOd classes, that have stock cylinders and stroke for the engne, can have stock covers. All engines with after market cylinders or altered stroke and all engines over 800 cc, need half cover from bolt to bolt coverage made from ISR approved materials and belting or ISR approved materials from half to bulk head making a mountain sled full enclosure.
  • Mountain Open classes - need half cover from bolt to bolt coverage made from ISR approved material and belting or approved ISR approved materials from half to bulk head making a mountain sled full enclosure.
